Introduction

Batman: The Brave and the Bold is a cartoon series.
Eugene Ipavec, 14 September 2011

Battle of the Superheroes!

Battle of the Superheroes! (episode 57, airing 25 March 2011) was adapted from the comic Superman, King of Earth. Two Superman flags made their appearance, but none of the comic's UN prop-flags were shown. This is consistent, as in the episode Superman only got as far as taking over Metropolis, not the UN.

A Superman flag made an appearance (so did the weirdly papal-tiara-like hat), but I believe it was the large-centered-logo kind from Ruler of the United States, not the Soviet-style one from the source comic.

The flag of King Superman was indeed a blue field with the Superman symbol centred. I'd say its size is such that the diamond the symbol fits in would reach the top and bottom edges of the flag. The flag may also be 1:2, but it's difficult to say as it curves along the hoist. It only served as a quick intro to the standard the-king-wants-gifts-and-gets-angry scene. I would say a large Superman banner from the city hall behind him would, animationwise, have been simpler, and would have worked better as well, but this does indeed match the scene from the King Superman comic best.

Superman fan flag

Before the flag of King Superman, a superman fan flag owned by Jimmy Olson can be seen in the episode. It's blue, of course, with the Superman symbol at approximately 1/3rd of the fly, taking up most of the pennant's height at that point. The pennant overall is probably something like 1:2, and it's a small waver, that fits into a waste-basket: Say 30cm long.
